From Basement Beginnings to a Lifelong Passion

Growing up, my father’s small basement workshop was the place that instilled in me an appreciation for craftsmanship and a keen eye for aesthetics. It wasn’t until I entered university, however, that my interest in furniture design truly took shape. Frustrated by the lack of designs that met both my expectations and my budget, I decided to create my own. What began as a practical solution quickly grew into a lifelong passion.

 The Joy of Creating by Hand

There’s a unique joy in taking raw materials and transforming them into something tangible, something beautiful. The process of creating a physical object—seeing it take shape under my hands—gives me a profound sense of accomplishment and pride. This feeling has been my driving force, pushing me to refine my skills and explore new ways to bring my ideas to life.

Balancing a Corporate Career with Creative Pursuits

During my 14-year corporate career, I never let go of this passion. By day, I  tackled complex data and analytics challenges and worked with C-level executives. By night or the weekend, I returned to my furniture projects. What started as personal projects evolved into gifts for friends and family, and later, my first commissions for acquaintances. Each piece was a step closer to mastering my craft and realizing a dream I had carried for years.

Founding Atelier Felice in the Heart of the Alps

That dream became reality with the founding of Atelier Felice. Nestled in Ossana, a picturesque village in the Val di Sole, Atelier Felice is more than a design studio—it’s the culmination of years of learning, experimenting, and creating. Inspired by the natural beauty of the mountains that are now my home, I channel my love for craftsmanship into every piece, blending traditional techniques with innovative design.

Our Philosophy: Contrast, Craft, and Sustainability

At Atelier Felice, we believe in furniture that tells a story. Each piece is handcrafted with care, using locally sourced materials from Northern Italy, Austria, and Southern Germany. By combining wood with concrete, glass, stone, and more, we create striking designs that evoke emotion and spark conversation. Sustainability is at our core: We produce in small batches or on a made-to-order basis, ensuring minimal waste and maximum quality.

When I’m not in the workshop, you’ll likely find me exploring the rugged trails of Val di Sole, running up a mountain, or splitboarding through peaceful alpine landscapes. These moments in nature fuel my creativity and remind me of the importance of craftsmanship that respects and honors the environment.
